A few of my favourite shot's........

This is one of my Favourite shots at the moment of a Dabchick (Juvenile). I like it because it's a simple shot with good colours, a nice reflection, and, well, I just like Dabchicks.............
It was taken at Cromford Canal, nr Matlock.
Canon 40d, 300mm f2.8, 1/50 sec @ f5.6

One of my favourite local landscape shot's.
I like simple shot's like this and this is as simple as it gets, I think.
Canon 40d, 70-200mm + 1.4x. 1/250 @ f11.

This is another, recent shot, of one of my favourite birds the Common Buzzard. It was taken from a hide I built about 3-4 years ago in the Staffs Moorlands. It's the female shielding the Rabbit from the male.
I like it because I've lost count of the number of times I've sat in the hide and nothing comes.....at all. So, when the Buzzard does come down and fills the viewfinder it makes it all worthwhile.
Canon 40d, 300mm f2.8, 1/500 sec @ f8

Probably my favourite bird....the Kingfisher. This is my favourite Kingfisher image taken this year.
It is of course shaking itself dry after coming out of the nest burrow, diving in the water to clean itself and then parking on my post. They always do this when coming out of the burrow. If you looked at, and up the burrow, you would know why...........

I spent about an hour and a half photographing this Pale Tussock Moth Caterpillar after almost treading on it on a footpath. I took far too many shot's of it, and, this is the one, where, I think it's trying to tell me something.
Canon 40d, Sigma 105mm Macro.

Have tried to get this sort of shot for about 4-5 years (during frog spawning season) and finally got one this year. Only got this one though, because, it heard my camera and flew off, never to return.
Canon 40d, 300mm @ f4

Only Snake shots I have are this Grass Snake that was trapped in a partly drained section of Cromford canal. I took quite a few shot's of it and then picked it up and released it.
Canon 40d, 300mm + 1.4x @ f4.
